The Team

Fareen completed her undergraduate studies in political science, legal studies & criminology at the University of Waterloo. She then took a sabbatical and worked at CIBC Mellon Financial Securities, prior to reading law at the University of Manchester. She was a finalist amongst twenty-five reputable universities in the Eversheds Negotiation and Advising competition which entails offering strategic advice to and representation on various areas of law.

Fareen has vast expertise including:

  • Handling complex litigation at a large multi-national litigation law firm
  • In-house counsel at a major airline in England
  • Experience of working at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre
  • A contracts consultant at a top international accounting firm

Outside of work, Fareen is involved in several community initiatives including:

  • Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) – legal leadership program
  • Refugee Sponsorship Support Program
  • World Partnership Walk
  • Aga Khan Volunteers & education portfolio

Fareen is fluent in Swahili, Hindi, Gujurati, Kutchi with intermediate fluency in Spanish and French.
